Our Scientific Equipment Service Team Consists of:

Scientific Division Project Manager – Paul Bommer

Paul joined Element in the beginning of 2014, and his role includes business management, relationship building, business development, mechanical and electrical design, specification review and planning of field activities.  He brings to the team 19 years of previous experience as a senior engineer, estimator, and project manager at a leading stability chamber manufacturer and has extensive skills in mechanical and electrical engineering.  He also holds a North Carolina unlimited Electrical Contracting license, and certifications for EPA 608 Universal Refrigerants, OSHA 10 Hour Safety, NFPA 70E Electrical Safety, Hazardous Material Safety, CPR, AED & First Aid & WPS, (EPA NASDARF).


Scientific Division Coordinator – David Sanders

David is an original founding member of Element, (formerly CES), beginning in 2009.  His divisional duties are the coordination and management of field personnel, parts & technical support. He is also Element’s Safety Manager providing training for all employees.   David has 23 years of commercial refrigeration construction and service, plus cascade refrigeration experience.  He has a technical degree from Wake Tech in HVAC/Refrigeration, and certifications for EPA 608 Universal Refrigerants, and Hazardous Material Safety ,Confined Space Entry& WPS, (EPA NASDARF), plus a North Carolina Refrigeration Contracting License.


 

 

Scientific Division Technician – Jared McLamb

Jared started with Element in 2013, and currently serves as a Refrigeration Technician for the division.  His duties include installation and service of equipment, and performing instrument calibrations.  He has 10 years of commercial refrigeration construction and service, instrument calibration and cascade refrigeration experience.  He has a technical degree from Wake Tech in HVAC/Refrigeration and certifications for EPA 608 Universal Refrigerants, OSHA 10 Hour Safety, NFPA 70E Electrical Safety, Hazardous Material Safety, Confined Space Entry, Aerial Lift Certification, CPR, AED & First Aid & WPS, (EPA NASDARF), plus a North Carolina Refrigeration Contracting License.


Scientific Division Electrician Mechanic – Richard Beasley

Richard joined Element in 2015, and currently serves as an Electrician Mechanic for the division.  His duties include installation and service of equipment, and performing instrument calibrations.  He has 18 years of commercial electrical construction and service, plus instrument calibration experience and is the owner/proprietor of RPB Electric.  He also holds a North Carolina unlimited Electrical Contracting license, and certifications for OSHA 10 Hour Safety, NFPA 70E Electrical Safety, Hazardous Material Safety, Confined Space Entry, Aerial Lift Certification, CPR, AED & First Aid & WPS, (EPA NASDARF).


Scientific Division General Mechanic – Robin Smith

Robin is the owner/proprietor of S&S Refrigeration Heating Cooling and Refrigeration LLC.  Robin previously worked for Element as a refrigeration technician, and is now an approved sub-contractor for the Scientific Division providing general mechanical services such as equipment installation, pipe fitting, and insulation.  He has a technical degree from Wayne Community College in HVAC/Refrigeration and certifications for EPA 608 Universal Refrigerants, OSHA 10 Hour Safety, Hazardous Material Safety, CPR, AED & First Aid.


Scientific Division General Mechanic – Camron Smith

Camron is a technician for S&S Refrigeration Heating Cooling and Refrigeration LLC. His duties include general mechanical services such as equipment installation, pipe fitting, and insulation.  He has a technical degree from Wayne Community College in HVAC/Refrigeration and certifications for EPA 608 Universal Refrigerants, OSHA 10 Hour Safety, Hazardous Material Safety, CPR, AED & First Aid.


Scientific Division Assistant Team:

Element’s Refrigeration Department consists of three divisions; Commercial Installation, Commercial Service, and Scientific Equipment Service.  We have technicians in other divisions that are cross-trained and can provide additional manpower for the Scientific Division as needed:

Commercial Service Division Manager – Jason Tierney

Jason joined Element early in 2015, and he is the Commercial Service Division Manager.  His duties include the coordination and management of field personnel, relationship building, business development, parts & technical support. He has 11 years of commercial refrigeration service, stability chamber, instrument calibration and cascade refrigeration experience.  He has a technical degree from Durham Community College in Industrial Systems Technologies HVAC and certifications for EPA 608 Universal Refrigerants, OSHA 10 Hour Safety, CPR, AED & First Aid and WPS, (EPA NASDARF). Jason also has extensive ThermoScientific factory training for ultra low cascade, controls, and LN2 systems.
